So last night my guild delivered a shiny birthday present to me:
We downed KT.
It wasn’t a pretty, or easy clear. We accidentally invited one too many DPS and had to ask someone to sit out. The Ugly Dog ate a lot of zombies. Zeren failed the Ledge Boss. Zuki can’t seem to stay alive for more than 5 minutes-I think we keep blithely assuming he’s more familiar with these fights than he really is. We waltzed into Sapph’s room and didn’t bother with FR beyond my aura-I mean we didn’t use it for 10 mans, right? Cue the healers shitting bricks and me sobbingly suggesting that we don’t do that ever again for a very long time. Once at KT, I threatened the raid with bodily harm if I saw any more chained FBs among the ranged (a four person FB among the ranged?! FAIL). Mages also learned that Living Bomb procs on Aboms are Very Bad when they bring…a lot more Aboms. I noticed Ron was standing next to me at one point and was skeered, because one should rightfully fear an asplody hug from the priest with the 24k mana pool. We raided over an hour past our normal stop time because WE WERE GOING TO KILL KT DAMN IT. It took three tries, but we did it.
Woo!
Now I get to babble about raiding with the priestly spacegoat, and Amber and Ron’s Creative Ways To Two Disc Heal Our Way Through Stupid. It should be fun right up there with How to Heal Maly With A Holy Paladin, A Disc Priset, And A Prot Pally!

HUZZAH! Grats very much on the downing of KT, the first time we did it, we ended with half the raid dead and like 2 seconds away from a full wipe after five tries. So yeah, it gets a little easier. It’s a big step in the right direction though. So 25 man Maly and OS 3D downed next week?

Hey! I had to let you catch up to my healing somehow. I figured eating floor was the best way. Yeah, I really need to pick these up, but don’t think I did too bad seeing as it was anywhere from the first to third time seeing some bosses. But my awesome teacher is good about explaining what happened when I ask “WTF?”

Grats on naxx! As for the chaining damage in KT, there’s a way to configure deadly boss mods to show when you’re too close to people. It can be hard to judge distances with all the moving out of void zones and trying to find a safe place to sit and pewpew.

@euripidesoutdps: I think a sad number of our raid lacks DBM or anything like it. I settled for having the range check on myself and scooting around avoding the silly people. And you know, telling people to get DBM if they can’t pay attention. I looooove DBM because I know I need to extra prodding some times.

Contratulations on your KT kill! Well done, Ambrosyne!
Before that fight I always have people type /distance to bring up that little range box that shows anyone within 10 yards of you. Unfortunately not all my guildies use DBM, but it is so helpful for those that do. Saved me from getting chained on several occasions.

@ Amber – but it drives you nuts when you position yourself only to find someone moves just within range for no apparent reason. Then you adjust and they adjust closer to you again… It’s not like my dps could afford the distraction.

Grats on the kill. I agree about the mana bomb though, with the mana pools we have as disc priest we could very nearly one shot the whole raid if people felt like it. Had 2 people get one shot and say wtf until they realized they were to close to me and got one shot.
