Fire Festival Nonsense

I wasted most of my Sunday cleaning the apartment and playing Sims 3, so I haven’t delved into the holiday quests yet.  I rofflestomped Ahune a few times with 3 guildies-he’s still 70, so it’s cake.  So much so that I went shadow for the last attempt (lol heals wut?).  Since he can bug out if you kill him in the first phase, we just waited until phase two and then crushed him.   Lyr now has a shiny blue tabbard that will go take up bank space along with the rest of my tabards.

I will probably do the quests with some of my alts for the XP-though that brings up the quandary…which alts?  I’m thinking my 56 mage would be the best choice, and/or my 76 warrior.  On second thought, maybe I won’t do much with my warrior after all.  She is one of my few remaining RP toons, and I can see her going, “I am many things, but a pyromaniac is not one of them.”  That and…the mage is soooo much further away…

Anyway.  Over the weekend my little sister texted me to tell me she finally got her first 80.  I asked her which toon dinged, and she told me…her belf DK.  Aww, congrats, sweetie!  You’re officially a total scrub!

It’s simply been my experience that people who have a DK as their first 80 are…well…terrible.  Are there exceptions somewhere?  I’m sure…but the general rule is…they’re terrible.  I’m looking at you, Ipwnforfree.

While Tim has since risen from the level of total scrub, my sister will always fail because, well, she’s a horde traitor.  TRAITOR I SAY.

*coughs*

*runs away from her hordie friends*

*remembers that she got the bronze drake last night and flies away on that instead!!!*

I totally had a DK roll (and win) against me on tank plate with block value on it. I was totally cool with that! I still fuckin hate that guy and it was 6 months ago….and I don’t remember his name.

How about trolls? You know, the coolest race of them all? :P

Last year I did all the fire quests in Outland because I was low on cash. Today I did all the rest of the quests and gott my shiny new title in around 5 hours. I’m still using my twilight vanquisher though, at least for as long as I haven’t got my Ulduar title :)

That boss was quite easy indeed. At first I thoght about trying to dualbox my tankadin+disc/shadow priest. Priest died in about half a minute as I didn’t bother to move it, in the end I soloed it on my pala twice, once for each char :)

I disagree when it comes to “normal” 70 Raiders who switched their mains to DK at WotLK launch. At least the ones I know still rock. But that’s mostly the people who would be good on most other classes as well.
But in general.. if you didn’t manage to get a char to 70, but now a DK to 80 – that’s probably baaad :)

@Armagon – My sister got her hunter to 55 and then leveled her DK. Fail. :P

The amount of death knights i’ve seen with block, spell power, and spirit is astounding. I think this goes way beyond the old huntard stereotype, which seems to have died with the invent of the death knights.
