Why’d I sign on for this job, again?

So last night, not only did we fail to reassemble our Ulduar25, but we then proceeded to wipe in Naxx.  Wipe in Naxx.

Now, let me paint the scene for you: your GM and an officer, or two thirds of your tanks if you will, have worked lots of OT lately.  They didn’t have a weekend.  They are tired and cranky as all get out, and one of them is already such a cranky pants that his guild note is actually Cranky Tank.  Your healing lead and recruitment officer is not only feeling the weight of OMG NEED MORE PEOPLE ITS MY JOB TO FIX IT HALP, but she’s in a simmering PMS induced rage caused by merely existing.  Next thing you know, asking for a fort buff AFTER I’VE ALREADY BUFFED WHY THE FUCK DID YOU AFK OUT OF RANGE ANYWAY JACKASS is a major offense, and wiping on 4H is the end  of the WORLD.

…that was BoO last night.  We had a bunch of people that joined us because they wanted to raid, and then they failed to sign up and blew us off when asked for dailies and regular UK.  The rage build up is pretty high amongst the leadership and we’re facing a mass gkick.  Of course, since they haven’t been raiding with us anyway, it’s not like it’ll hurt us.  It’s just one more annoyance.

It’s not guild destroying, but it’s one of those lay low weeks, you know?  I’ve gone and spruced up and reposted our recruitment posts, so I’m going to cross our fingers and hope we get some nibbles.  Our DPS and healing cores need a good boost.  I hate when it’s attendance issues that get us because my mind instantly dumps all the pressure on me.  Bleh!

    It’s fun to be cranky.

    Well, okay, maybe not.

Lay low weeks are a plenty here too, so… I feel ya.

    Need a mage? :p

It’s the end of summer, people slack as much is possible as long as it’s possible before work/school starts in a couple of weeks. My guild that used to raid 4 nights a week with rarely any getting cancelled has done exactly two raids during past month. It’s a summer thing, usuaally it gets better after it’s over.

If you guys weren’t Alliance I’d transfer my DK over to play with you… Not that she’s terribly geared… Or 80. But it’s the thought that counts, right?

    AMBER I’M SORRY!!!

I sorry I missed the raid last night… I was having some… personal issues. Y-Y

Hopefully I can make it tomorrow.

But if it’s any consolation I was thinking about you guys and hoping things went well… even though apparently they went quite the opposite. >_<

Also… if there’s anything you need, you know I’m always here to help to the best of my abilities. Just name it and I’ll try. =3

Ugh. We are bit by the RL Bug too.

Our raid has only 4 of its 10 members standing (we dont do 25’s). Two are out until at least the 29th, and have been out for the past month or so. One moved to another guild with his main to raid with them on different nights. Well, guess what, they changed their nights, so they are raiding the same time as us now, so he is out. Our BEST dps just quit the game (I’m a sad panda right now, he was a good friend). Two are dealing with school startup issues, and are flaky at best.

So that leaves us with 4 people who want to raid. We have tank and 3 DPS (two of which are hunters, none the less, LOL). I could switch over to heals, but with the loss of our best DPS, we really can’t afford to lose my DPS as well. /sigh Not sure what to do right now, other than wait it out. We are putting out tendrils to try and find out what we can do, but so far no go. With raiding being so commonplace right now, its really hard to find anyone who is unguilded (with a good reason), and is a great player.

I’d consider a transfer, but frankly, Amber, you scare the shit out of me.

    (Kidding!) :D

I think Mika just told me all I need to know. ;)

Yeah, I loathe people who’re asking for buffs too. Especially when they want it refreshed and it’s +12 min left, or when I’m the only paladin in the raid and the druids and priests wants different buffs…

    Oh dear god…

    Maybe I shouldn’t have said anything…

    >_>

I have to live next door to her in less than 3 weeks…

(And Wall… single 1 hour drood buff ftw, haha.)

Yeah, you have it easy. :P

Nothing is more annoying to buff than paladin buffs. Nothing. And people are RABID over the damn things, to boot.

@Mikata – Yeah, watch it, missy. And it’s across the street, next door…not that the extra distance will save you. *narrows eyes*

xDD I love how it messed up my faces…. totally not intended.

Nothing’s more annoying than paladin buffs because 90% of paladins don’t have pally power…

I’m sure my logging out of vent didn’t help things. Mach whispered me to apologize, but it isn’t like the night was your guys’ fault. I left vent because of the inane chatter going on which led me to believe that people weren’t paying attention.

I love inane chatter that’s fun when things go well, but to wipe on the 2nd pull of a raid that’s been on farm for months?!

So if I added to the stress I’m sorry.

  19. #19 by Pugnacious Priest on August 18, 2009 - 10:41 pm

and if you wait untill everyone is in range then 23 other people start asking where their fort buffs are – and then when the person finally does get in range you cycle through your buffs and lose half your mana just as the tank does the 1st pull…

Hope the rest of your week is better.
