PTR Goodies

Day 4 of Amber Is Sick And Thus Posting Crappily shall bring you…

…random spazzing over the current priest t10 bonuses.  They may nerf the hell out of these, but for now let’s be excited, okay?

  • Priest T10 Healer 2P Bonus – After your Pain Suppression and Guardian Spirit talents expire on your target, they grant your target 10% increased healing received for 10 sec.
  • Priest T10 Healer 4P Bonus – Your Flash Heal spell has a 15% chance to reset the cooldown on your Circle of Healing and Penance Spells.
  • Mmmmmmmm.  Tasty.  The two piece is…nice, for those oh shit moments.  But the 4 piece bonus makes me happy.  I don’t know about you, but I’m a veritable flash heal spam bot on tanks-at least, during those “LOL OMG DAMAGE ON THE TANK” fights that Blizzard seems to have gotten so fond of lately.  15% isn’t a loooot, but it’ll be handy, I think.  It’s also one more tool in the box for those of us bizarre disc priests who sometimes raid heal (ever get invited to a VoA pug to heal with 3 holy paladins?  …yeah).

Of course the real question is…will the stats continue to utterly suck for one spec or the other?

Will I want more haste now?  For more flash heals?  Hmmmmm.  Hmmmmmmmm.

I don’t actually like the 4p that much, but then random chance procs make me grumpy in general.

There’s a thread discussing what the proc actually means on Plus Heal. So far, it seems to be “what this proc means is it messes up your rotation (for disc) once every 2-3 penance cycles” ;)

Hehe, that was exactly what I was thinking when I saw the 4 piece set bonus.

random procs make the game take skill as opposed ot pushin the same buttons in the same order over and over again. (its why they changed ret the way they did)
have you seen the fun rogue 2pc set bonus, it jsut screams “lol clothy killin”.

tyco – but ret pally is STILL “slap whatever buttons are shiny”…just sometimes it’s slap exorcism, too. :P

Jov – Probably. But I can can be optimistic, yes?

That 4pc bonus is very, very sexy.

I happen to like random proc-based healing skills as it adds yet another dimension to an often-time boring (yet stressful) role. Properly managing free flash heals is one of the best parts of a Holy build.

the retribution 2pc is amazing i love it… but the 4pc is bleh… we already struggle with gcd clashes on top of ability cooldowns and this just adds more drivel to the mix.

Eeeps, feel better soon!! I hope you have someone to dote over you during this time :)

I’m quite looking forward to the challenges that the Icecrown Citadel will offer, but hope to get through most of the Heroic ToTC25 first, which we’ve only really gotten started on in my guild.

And yes, I hope the T10 is better for Disc than the previous have been! It was so nice in Holy to have the 4-piece bonus and have the gear also make sense statistically.

Plus of course, I hope it’s a pretty dress for my Priest, and nice shoulders are always a bonus ;)

      I guess we’ll see.

I like the 4p bonus for disc, if it ever going to stay like this.
Actually every healer who is afraid of “messed up rotations” may be off better playing a damage dealer. I prefer healing over dpsing just because you need to always be aware of your CDs, your environement and all your raid. Tunnel vision is bad, you know?

It’s going to be valuable to stack even more hase. Raidbuffed my flash heals are something like 1,2 seconds right now. With the 4p you can skip the Penance glyphe without any drawbacks.

We’ll see what will come out on live realms :)

A good attempt to balance the needs of Holy and Disc for once. Thats something nice to see.
