Blargh.

Apparently you can two disc priest heal ToC10 up until…oh…Anub.

Then it doesn’t work so well.  :(

What the hell happened to our usual ToC10 lolfest?!  Damn you, Kotakh!  You and your dentist appointments! /shakefist

ETA:  Anub basically went like this…

LOLOLOL STACKS OF POISON EVERYWHERE!

DEATH LOL!!!

….yeah.  We made it to phase 3 once, and then failed because…well…I don’t know about the other two healers, but I was OOM.  And I was sad, because normally we just roffle all over that place.  QQ.

Holy nova spam under Anub in P3 (the only really scary part) Of course you’d run out of mana pretty quick doing that hmm…

Needs moar Circle of Teddy Bear and/or a poison cleanse.

No paladins or spriests? I solo healed last night on my paladin. The only problem was the Frost DoT. I needed to HL the tank but I kept thinking “small” heal on the DoT targets. One died just before the kill :(

We had enough dps for me to just HL both the DoT targets. What made it work was Judgement of Light on the boss and a spriest doing Vampiric Embrace.

I like the Nova spam idea. If you have a paladin in the raid then have them do Judgement of Wisdom on Anub the first part of the fight and switch to Light on P3. Get over your squishy self and spend the above ground phases under Anub’s butt like everybody else and melee for mana. You should be able to enter ph3 with a full bar. I have no idea how long you can keep up Nova spam, but 1 spammer plus Judgement of Light should more than cover everyone but the tank(s).

What happened to cause the problems with 2x Disc priest?

  5. #5 by hedwann on November 19, 2009 - 11:06 am

Was it the poison from the lil adds? My guild had a lil issue with that in 25 mans the first time or two we got him down. They just need to go down fast and by the ranged. When I heal, I smack one hitting a melee with my stunhammer and run!

If your usually gettin him down, prolly not it though. You guys know what youre doin.

Somehow, I knew yesterday’s “warm and fuzzy bubbles” weren’t going to last too long…

And she thought I was joking when I said in guild chat that “Miss B and I carry all the rest of you.”

how i can get amber noodz?

  9. #9 by xuna on November 19, 2009 - 12:33 pm

well for phase 3 its Power Infusion and Prayer of Healing, one group at a time. If that doesn’t cut it, its inner focus + divine Hymn.

For the bubbles! 2 Prom, 10 bubbles from one priest and other priest penance and flash the tank… and tell the dps to go faster. =)

yep that too. If still doesnt cut it, remember that the raid doesn’t need to be topped. If your raiders have around 60% to 70% all the time, Anub will heal less, since the swarm takes into account the “existant” health, not the total health to cut out the percentage. So don’t stress you trying to top everyone, and the shields actually absorb part of that percentage as well.

    Thank you for the wand

60% to 70%? Go under 40% or even 20%. The only danger is the Frost DoT and you get a second or two to throw those people a heal. The minimum damage from Anub is about 250 and JoL and HoT ticks should be more than that.

Lower health means less Anub healing means a faster kill.

Joe Ego is on the right right idea. Besides the tank the others don’t need to be anywhere near topped off.

Get one Disc priest to heal the tank/s and the other to shield everyone else? Renew on the Penetrating Cold people and maybe Penance or FH once each?

Glyphed PW:S on CD is enough for all the non-tanks, non-PC people. Just give the PC people a little extra Renew or something to keep ’em from dying?

Tanks need more healing but one player can handle it.

Yes letting players health bars get to about 1k is very sacrey and against our religion as healers but it makes the fight much easier (less Anub self healing).

It is possible to do Anub P3 in ToC spamming PoH or Holy Nova, but its harder and not possible in ToGC.

    Gobble gobble.

All the advice would be helpful if we actually got to P3. :P

Usually Anub is a pushover in 10 man, I don’t know what the deal was last night.

  16. #16 by Joe Ego on November 19, 2009 - 6:03 pm

One secret I have found for getting through to P3 is to stay away from the priest being chased by the spikes.

The priest will fade rather than move to an ice patch and Anub will then chase you, at increased speed. Chances of this happening increase to 100% in ToGC.

  17. #17 by xuna on November 20, 2009 - 11:20 am

you can fade when the spikes follow you?I didn’t know that. There was a time when Ice patches were really far away and scarce because our ice guy wasn’t doing his job, so I kited the spikes around the room in circles until someone cared and set more patches.

trusty rocket boots, i love thee

I’ve never played with fade myself, but being a paladin and an engineer makes me godlike for kiting. At least it does when I’m the first target. It’s a little hard to do anything but crap your pants when the priest fades accelerated spikes onto you from 12 yards away. Twice.

    ToGC sure is fun!
