Aw, I was expecting a screenshot of a melee dps faceplanted dead on the floor. Isn’t that how they end up most fights?

I got to try this fight, this past week…haven’t seen phase 2 yet except on videos. My DK is fairly survivable, but I turn around and the OT’s dead, or half the raid’s dead, and…I have no idea what’s going on. Screenshot of Towelie for me.

This makes me so happy, you don’t even know. Love the JOHN FUCKING MADDED! at the end, I was nearly dying when my feral-druid friend showed me the original cat dps flowchart back when ulduar was srz bznz, that joke will never get old to me.

Oh wait until you get to hard mode … You know the debuffs that go out in Phase 1–now you have a second set (a positive and a negative version) where the players need to meet up to cancel the effects. All while dealing with water logged. And shields. And interrupts (which 1-shot players if you happen to miss one). And getting Ice buff to melee and fire buff to ranged, unless you happen to be a melee on Ice or a ranged on fire. Or it’s the third Tuesday of the week … And the transition needs to be perfect (both bosses at ~23%, cause you can continue to burn after they push) or your Phase 3 will be too long.
Oh and Phase 2 … now include a frost orb into the mix. It spawns, targets a random person in raid, and then that person has to kite it over a flamestrike. Except the flamestrike doesn’t spawn when the orb spawns, so you have to just pick a direction and start running. Which quite naturally means you’ll pick the wrong direction. (Hooray for life grip!) And if you don’t get grounded, you die. If you don’t get into the air, you die. If you don’t get the lightning rods away from people, you die. If you get hit by the little spikes that send melee flying, you almost die.
The good news is … melee get to live in Phase 3 while the ranged get shocked to death! :-P
